At the entrance of Prairie Oaks, you are welcomed by our 5,760 s.f. Community Centre & Clubhouse. Housing the administration office, gym, kitchen and large open space, this facility is ready for our residents to host birthday parties, family get togethers or community block parties – whatever the occasion dictates.

A Phase 2 expansion to our Community Centre & Clubhouse will bring an outdoor spa feel to Prairie Oaks with an outdoor hot tub, an outdoor pool protected from the elements on three sides, a BBQ area and fire pits located on the south side of the Centre. This expansion is expected to take place in the 5th year of development.

FAQ

How does ownership work?

You own the home but lease the lot from us.

What about property tax?

The home has a title and you will pay property tax on it. Since the land is not part of the tax bill you can expect very reasonable annual taxes.

Can I rent the home?

We have rented some units however, at the moment we are only selling them. We’d like to have a good mix of renters and owners!

Who built the homes?

After looking at many builders, we teamed up with Triple M Housing. They built us a home which blew us away with its quality.  Prairie Oaks homes are built in a factory under perfect conditions and outstanding quality control.  If you are ever in Triple M Housing’s home base, we could arrange a tour which would not disappoint.

Do I have any maintenance?

The lot lease includes snow clearing (including your driveway), grass cutting, general park maintenance, and upkeep of the Community Centre & Clubhouse.

Kids?

This is an adult-oriented community and children under 18 cannot reside permanently.  They may come to visit and can stay for up to 2 weeks.

How about the Clubhouse?

You can use it at your discretion. Our onsite property manager will coordinate the use of this space and can help you book it for any private functions like birthdays or family gatherings.

What about pets?

You can have up to 2 furry friends. Sorry, no animal husbandry all you chicken lovers.

Can I do some landscaping or a garden?

Absolutely, just keep in mind that we ask our residents to personally maintain any additional landscaping.

Can I have a dog run?

Yes, we will provide you with a design that meets your furry friend’s needs and preserves the open space feel our residents enjoy.

What about fencing?

Fencing can be an issue for grass cutting and maintenance. Details on this topic will be confirmed at a later date.

Can I sell my home?

Yes, you can sell it just like any other home. A new lease will be signed with the new owner.

What about the Community landscaping?

We have planted sod and grass as well as trees around the border of the property. we will we expect to plant more as we go.

Are decks included in the purchase?

Decks are not included. However we have a limited time offer to May 31 to include $5000.00 toward a deck.

Are garages allowed?

Absolutely! Call us for pricing on single or double detached garages.

When I buy a home, are the appliances included?

Yes! A fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and washer and dryer are included in all units.

Is there a water softener?

Yes, we are installing a water softener that will service the whole Prairie Oaks Community.
